Professor Helena Knyazeva presented the Russian school on the Philosophy of Science at the World Conference – WCCS26 - UM6P – in Morocco.

Helena Knyazeva, Professor at the School of Philosophy and Cultural Studies, as a representative the Russian school on Theory of Complexity and its philosophical foundations participated in the World Conference on Complex Systems (WCCS26 - UM6P) "Navigating Contemporary Complexity: Transdisciplinary Approaches to Economic, Social, Political, and Environmental Challenges" in Morocco in April 20-22, 2026. The conference was held on the campus of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Ben Guerir, a young but highly ranked university in Africa. The conference aimed to foster international collaboration in developing cutting-edge methodological tools and approaches for understanding, modeling, predicting, and managing complex processes in the modern world. 

At the panel discussion "Rethinking Knowledge in the Age of Complexity," she presented a paper titled "Dancing with Complexity: How the World Thinks Through Us." In her presentation, Helena Knyazeva demonstrated that complex phenomena exceed the explanatory power of any single discipline; knowledge emerges through transdisciplinary transfer, integration, and interaction between different modes of inquiry. The metaphor "the world thinks through us" expresses "complex subjectivity": cognition is neither purely internal nor purely external, but unfolds within a shared, evolving, recursive system of relationships between the subject and the environment.
